How To Have Great
Website Content
Your main purpose
for having a website maybe to sell a product or service
and make money with your online business, but the search
engine don't care about your products or services. The
search engines are looking for information about your
keywords. That was the main reason for opening up the
Internet to the public.
The " information
highway". It is the information highway but with a lot of
build boards. Content is what a website is about. What
information do you have that is of importance to the
viewer. Good, well written, fresh content is important to
your site. If you have information about your product or
service then you should be able to write content for
yourself.
If you don't have
sufficient knowledge there are other sources to find
content. I would recommend first, that you research your
product so that you can write fresh, new content
pertaining to your product. You could also have someone
else write the content. There are services on the
Internet that will write content. There prices vary, but
they produce good content for your
site.
There are also
sites where you can get free articles, but you should
know, two things about these free articles. One, the
article may appear on other sites. The number of sites
the article appears on will be determined by the
popularity of the article and it's keywords. Two, these
article must be left unchanged and with all enclosed
links active. The people who write these article are
using them to advertise their own
sites.
If you can not
write your own content or pay someone on the Internet,
try to find someone not connected with Internet marketing
to write them for you. Maybe a friend or college
student.
One other way to
get content is to find a book about your product, read
the book and then write about it in your own words. As
long as you put the information in own words you will not
be violating any copy write laws. You can also use
information that is in the public domain. It is not
copyrighted.
When writing
content on your site keep the fonts and font sizes
consistent. Use a clean clear font. "Times New Roman",
"Arial" and "Veranda" provide clear and easy to read
copy. This keeps the content easier to read. Look at
content on other popular sites to get and idea of what
you like and what is easy to read.
Your visitor
is looking for information and you want them enjoy your
site and return to it in the future. Do not fill your
site with ads and little content. Good grammar, spelling
and sentence structure are also important to your
content.
