Article Directories: Writing an article, with a link to your site in the bi-o box, is also a effective way to get links. Other web masters will pick up and publish your article on their site. Good articles can end up on hundreds of site.

Forums: Another good place to get links. Find forums related to your market and join. You may be amazed at how many links you can receive to your site from some of these forums.

Other Sites: Email other, high ranking, sites and request a link to your site. This is not the most effective method but it can work.

Linking Directories: Although not the most effective method for building links, these directories do provide two-way linking. One word of caution, when using this method be sure you link to sites that are directly related to your site. You may get some advertisement from non related sites but they will not help very much with increasing your sites ranking.

Social Networks: Social networks like "My Space" and "Face Book" have become very effective ways of getting links. With the amount of traffic to these sites you can build links to your site more quickly than with most any other type of link building source.
