One of the most
difficult problems for newbies to overcome is finding the
best products for their online business
that will provide a source of income. If you have
entered the Internet marketing arena
with your own product to sell then you are ready to
get your online business started. If you have a
product, your first step will be to see if there is a
market for your product. If there is no market for your
product then you have no product to sell. So, how do you
find a product? How Too
Find Products:
Since you are a
new to Internet marketing I would recommend that you
use an affiliate programs to find a
product to promote with your online business.
Affiliate programs afford the best source of
products. Affiliate
marketing programs are simply where
someone else has a product to sell and they are willing
to pay other people a commission to market and sell their
product or service.
Amazon.com has an
affiliate marketing program as does Ebay and
Commission Junction. One of, if not the biggest is
ClickBank. ClickBank pays the highest commission rate,
usually between 50 and 75 percent. Amazon's commission
rate is around 10 to 15 percent but they have a wider and
more mainstream product line. Commission Junction's
commission rate varies by product and company but with
most of their vendors your site must qualify for
acceptance into their affiliate program. For those
just starting their online business, ClickBank
is my choice. You do not need a web site to sign up for a
ClickBank account.
Once you have an
account, you can visit their market place and find a
product to promote in your market. If you have found it
difficult to settle on a market, looking at the products
available at ClickBank may help you settle on a market.
These affiliate marketing programs are
free to join and provide newbie marketing individuals a
better chance to succeed.
The type of market
you are going to be looking to start your online business
is called a "niche" market. A niche
market is found within a larger, broader market.
Example: Golf is a broad market, if you look at all the
items related to golf then you will find many products
related to golf. A few of these would be golf gloves,
ball, tees, how to videos and other items related to
golf. Marketing these type products would be a niche
market.
Most of the
product you will use for your online business will need
to come from a niche market. Understand that many of the
big markets are well saturated with Internet marketers
and very difficult to enter. One of the reason for using
the free marketing sites on the Internet is to allow you
to market some products within the broader markets.
Affiliate programs provide the best opporunity for
entering a niche market
